During this time she worked on the theology of liberation and completed her studies there with a master's thesis on the comparison of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's ecclesiology with the ecclesiology of Leonardo Boff . As a result, she acquired the master's degree as "Master of Sacred Theology" (STM). She then completed her parish vicariate from 1991 to 1992 in a Berlin parish and passed her second theological exam in 1992, whereupon she was ordained for the pastor's office in Berlin that same year.

From 1992 to 1993 Bobert received a pastor's position and a teaching position at the Theological Convict (former Language Convict) in Berlin. From 1993 to 1996 she was a research assistant at the Theological Faculty of Berlin's Humboldt University in the field of practical theology and acquired various additional (pastoral) psychological qualifications ( clinical pastoral training , organizational and group dynamics, psychoanalysis , counseling dynamics in short pastoral talks). In addition, she worked as a hospital chaplain at the Berlin Charité . In 1994 she became involved with a thesis on Dietrich Bonhoeffer's pastoral theology. From 1996 to 2001 she was a research assistant at the Humboldt University with Jürgen Henkys and worked on the edition of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's works . During this time, she completed her habilitation in practical theology with her work Piety and Symbol Game. A pastoral psychological contribution to an evangelical theory of piety .

Research and Teaching

In the summer semester of 2000, she represented Dietrich Stollberg's chair in homiletics and pastoral care as a substitute professor at the Philipps University of Marburg . In autumn 2001 she received a call to the theological faculty of Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel as the first woman since the faculty was founded in 1665. Her focus is on pastoral care and pastoral psychology , liturgy (execution and maintenance of the German Mass with all their steps and rituals ), as well as postmodern forms of spirituality. There is particular interest in ancient Christian techniques that can help contemporary people to achieve mental and emotional autonomy. In this context Bobert discusses the question of a contemporary living Christian mysticism . In 2009 she launched the Mental Turning Point training concept with a focus on mystagogy . In order to make the content of the new concept accessible to the public, a series of seminars was started in 2010 to introduce those interested to old monastic meditation techniques.
