Bina Daigeler
Bina Daigeler (* 1965 in Munich ) is a costume designer living in Spain .
Life
Bina Daigeler completed an apprenticeship as a tailor at Breuer costume rental in Munich from 1982 to 1985 . Through this activity she came into contact with film productions. She started her television career as a cloakroom . As assistant to the costume designer, she has a. a. worked for the television series Anna , broadcast by ZDF in 1987 . After moving to Spain, she first worked as an assistant to the costume designer for Spanish television. Her first engagement in a feature film was in the period film 1492 - The Conquest of Paradise by Ridley Scott . She was responsible for the first time as a costume designer for the film Airbag by Juanma Bajy Ullosa , which was awarded two Goyas .
In the meantime she has u. a. worked with Pedro Almodóvar , Antonio Banderas , Christopher Hampton , Fernando León , Jim Jarmusch , Jonathan Jakubowicz, Mabrouk El Mechri, Steven Soderbergh , Oliver Stone , Wim Wenders and Julian Rosefeldt . In 2011 she designed the costumes for Rosefeldt's 4-channel installation Meine Heimat is a gloomy, cloud-covered country , followed in 2014 by his 12-channel installation Manifesto with Cate Blanchett in 13 different roles. Bina Daigeler received the German Film Prize 2018 for Manifesto .
Bina Daigeler lives in Spain, is married and has two children.
