Sabine Stockhorst (born September 14, 1986 in Weisendorf ) is a German handball player .

Career

Sabine Stockhorst played for 1. FC Nürnberg until 2009 , where she was used in the handball Bundesliga and in the EHF Champions League . In 2008 she won the German championship with FCN . After the insolvency of the Nuremberg handball players, the 1.72 meter tall goalkeeper initially moved to the Bayern league club TSV Winkelhaid, but joined the Thuringian HC a short time later . For the 2010/11 season Stockhorst moved to the second division club TuS Metzingen , with whom they rose to the first division in 2012. In January 2015 she joined the second division club SV Allensbach . In July 2015 she returned to Metzingen. After the 2015/16 season, she ended her career. In 2017 she made her comeback at the second division TSG Ketsch . With Ketsch, she rose to the Bundesliga in 2019. After Stockhorst took a break in the 2019/20 season due to her pregnancy, she joined the third division HSG St. Leon / Reilingen .

In 2015 and 2017 Stockhorst took part in the European Beach Handball Championship with the German national beach handball team.
