Sabine Weissler

Sabine Weißler (born August 22, 1958 in Groß-Umstadt ) is a German politician ( Alternative List for Democracy and Environmental Protection , Alliance 90 / The Greens ). She is the district councilor for further education, culture, the environment and nature conservation in the Mitte district of Berlin and was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

biography

Sabine Weißler studied art history and politics in Heidelberg and Berlin with a degree in political science.

From 1991 she headed the art department in the Berlin district of Steglitz and later became head of the department for culture and libraries in the district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf .

politics

Weißler belonged to the 11th and 12th electoral terms of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1989 to 1995. There she was chairman of the science committee and a member of the school committee. On November 8, 2011, the district association Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Berlin-Mitte nominated her for the district office position for further education and culture, the environment and nature conservation.
