Sabrina Victoria D'Angelo (born May 11, 1993 in Welland , Ontario ) is a Canadian soccer goalkeeper who has been under contract with Vittsjö GIK since the beginning of 2019 .

Career

societies

During her studies at the University of South Carolina D'Angelo ran from 2011 to 2014 for the local high school team of the USC Gamecocks and played sporadically in parallel to the W-League - franchise of the Toronto Lady Lynx . At the beginning of 2015 she was committed to position 21 by the Flash in the third round of the NWSL's college draft . D'Angelo made her league debut on April 12, 2015 against Seattle Reign FC , where she was given preference over Chantel Jones , who was also newly signed before the start of the season .

National team

D'Angelo was appointed to the squad of the Canadian U-17 national team for the first time in June 2007 at the age of fourteen, and finally made his debut for them at the 2010 CONCACAF U-17 championship . In the same year, and again in 2012, she was awarded under the national coaches Carolina Morace and John Herdman multiple invitations to the Canadian senior national team , but was first used more exclusively in the U-20 team, which they partly due to the U- 20 Women's World Cup in 2012 .

In February 2016, D'Angelo was part of the squad for the qualifying tournament for the 2016 Summer Olympics , in which Canada qualified for the Olympic Games, but was initially not used. At the Algarve Cup 2016 , which took place shortly afterwards , she made her debut on March 4 in a 1-0 win over Belgium .

In May 2019 she was nominated for the 2019 World Cup . But it was not used there.
