Ulrich Schürmann

Ulrich Schürmann (born September 7, 1943 in Berlin ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Schürmann graduated from high school in 1963 and studied history , political science and English at the Free University of Berlin . In 1971, he put the state examination and was teacher . Since 1974 he has been a teacher at the John F. Kennedy School in Berlin-Zehlendorf .

In 1964 Schürmann joined the SPD. In the Berlin election in 1971 he was elected to the district council of the Wilmersdorf district. In March 1978 he moved up to the Berlin House of Representatives , since Wolfgang Haus became director of the broadcaster Free Berlin (SFB). Schürmann was a member of this parliament until 1989.

Schürmann has been a long-standing member of the Society for Christian-Jewish Cooperation in Berlin , since 1992 as Protestant chairman.
