Sad Bear is the third solo album by the American singer and songwriter Tony Sly . In addition to his work as the front man of the punk rock band No Use for a Name , Tony Sly released two solo albums alone and two more together with the singer of the punk band Lagwagon , Joey Cape . The album was released on October 11, 2011 and was produced by Tony Sly and Jamie McMann.

Unlike his band No Use For A Name , acoustic instruments dominate here, as on his other solo albums. The songs are all in the singer-songwriter genre and not in punk rock. Sad Bear was Tony Sly's last solo solo album before his death on July 31, 2012.

Some of the songs on the album were recorded by various artists after his death, including a. the punk rock band Pennywise , reinterpreted on the 2013 tribute album The Songs of Tony Sly .
