Sadayasu Fujii

Sadayasu Fujii ( Japanese 藤井 貞 泰 , Fujii Sadayasu ; * around 1945) is a Japanese jazz musician (piano, arrangement).

Sadayasu Fujii worked in the Nobuo Hara orchestra around 1970 , on whose album Oliver Nelson Meets Nobuo Hara & His Sharps & Flats he was involved. In the following years he played a. a. with Hiroshi Okazaki , Hidehiko Matsumoto , Seiichi Nakamura , Kiyoshi Kitagawa , Jimmy Takeuchi , Takao Uematsu , Red Mitchell ( Scairport Blues (1978), inter alia with Toshiyuki Honda ) and Takashi Furuya ; He also accompanied the singers Kimiko Kasai , Mari Nakamoto , Erni Oya and Anne Young. In 1976 he recorded his debut album Prelude to a Kiss in a trio with Osamu Kawakami (bass) and Hiroshi Murakami (drums) ; In 1977 the production Like a Child followed , with jazz standards such as “A Sleepin 'Bee” and “If I Should Lose You”, and in 1984 the trio album Psalm (with Kiyoshi Kitagawa, June Ishikawa ).
