Seiichi Nakamura

Seiichi Nakamura , ( Japanese 中 村 誠 一 , Nakamura Seiichi ; * 1947 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz musician ( saxophone (alto, soprano, tenor) and clarinet ).

Seiichi Nakamura played from the late 1960s in the trio of pianist Yosuke Yamashita , with whom he also made his first recordings ( Dancing Kojiki ). In late 1973 he recorded the live album First Contact (Bellwood); Shigeharu Mukai (trombone), Hiroshi Tamura (piano), Isoo Fukui (bass) and Takuji Kusumoto (drums) played in Nakamura's quintet .
