Saddle Rock-Malibu AVA (recognized since July 17, 2006) is a wine-growing region in the US state of California . The area is located in the administrative area of Los Angeles County on the site of the former - over 800 km² - Saddle Rock Ranch. The wine region with Protected Designation of Origin ( American Viticultural Area ) is located high in the Santa Monica Mountains in northern Los Angeles .
