Safet Isović

Safet Isović (born January 6, 1936 in Bileća , † September 2, 2007 in Sarajevo ) was a Bosnian Sevdah singer.

Life

Safet Isović lived and worked in Sarajevo. He won numerous festivals. He also won the "Golden Microphone" and around 35 gold and silver records . His singing style is considered to be the origin of modern folk music in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region.
