Solorina crocea , also known as saffron lichen , is a leaf lichen .
description
The top of the camp is gray to brown-olive, the underside bright orange. The round apothecia are 2–10 mm in size and are sunk but not recessed. The photobionts are green algae of the genus Coccomyxa . On top or internally there are cephalodies with Nostoc bacteria.
Location
The saffron lichen is a characteristic species of snow valleys in the Alps and is widespread in the arctic Alps .
