Sahale Mountain is a jagged, glaciated mountain in northern Washington . The summit of Sahale Mountain is also known as Sahale Peak . It's just 0.48 km south of its higher neighbor, Boston Peak , and the saddle between the two is just 24 m lower than the summit of Sahale Mountain. The Quien Sabe Glacier lies to the west of this ridge, which lies between the two peaks, while the Davenport Glacier lies in a cirque east of the ridge and above the Horseshoe Basin. The Sahale Glacier lies south of the summit and east of the Sahale Arm, a ridge that extends southwest from Sahale to the Cascade Pass .

Ascent

Sahale Peak is known for its panoramic views and is popular with mountaineers. The least paved route follows the Sahale Arm from the Cascade Pass Trail to the Sahale Glacier . From there on there is a class 3–4 ascent to the summit. Another option is from Sahale Arm to Quien Sabe Glacier , and then climb from the glacier to the ridge to the north. The ascent to the ridge is also classified in classes 3–4, but has stretches with loose stones and steeply sloping slopes. The Cascade Pass and the Sahale Arm may west of Marblemount and from the east via a walking path along the Stehekin River of Stehekin be reached from.
