Salidat Qayyrbekova

Salidat Sekenqysy Qajyrbekowa ( Kazakh Салидат Зекенқызы Қайырбекова , Russian Салидат Зикеновна Каирбекова / Salidat Sikenowna Kairbekowa * 1. August 1961 in the area of Karaganda , † 3. July 2016 in Astana ) was a Kazakh doctor and politician. Qayyrbekova was Kazakhstan's Minister of Health from October 2010 to August 2014 .

Life

Salidat Qajyrbekowa was in 1961 in the region Karaganda born. In 1984 she graduated from the State Medical Academy in Karaganda and then worked as a neurologist in various medical institutions in the Karaganda region. From 1998 to 2001 she was the head of the regional government's health department and was responsible for organizing medical care in Karaganda Oblast. Between 2001 and 2006, she conducted research at the Faculty of Public Health and Health Management at the State Medical Academy of Kazakhstan, where she also held the position of Vice-Rector from 2004 .

In 2004 Qayyrbekova got a position in the presidential administration. On December 4, 2008, she moved to the Ministry of Health , where she chaired a monitoring committee . On November 5, 2009, she became chair of the Medical Services Payment Committee, and from April 23, 2010, she was also Deputy Minister of Health. On October 7, 2010, Qayyrbekova was appointed Minister of Health by Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev . In the course of a reorganization of the ministry, she had to leave her post on August 6, 2014, but shortly afterwards again became deputy minister of the renamed Ministry of Health and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From October 13, 2015, she headed the country's National Medicine Holding (Национальный медицинский холдинг).

Qajyrbekova died on July 3, 2016 of complications from a stroke .
