Life

Tamara Düissenowa was born in 1965 in southern Kazakhstan in the Saryaghasch district. In 1987 she graduated in engineering and economics from the Institute of Economics in Tashkent . In 2004 she obtained a doctorate . She began her career in 1988 as a computer science teacher at a school in Saryaghasch County. She then worked from 1988 to 1992 as an economist at the Economic Research Institute and for the State Planning Commission of the Uzbek SSR .

After Kazakhstan's independence, she worked as a senior economist in the Saryaghasch district administration. From 1994 to 1997 she was first adviser to the Äkim of the district and finally deputy Äkim. From 1997 to 1999 she was the first deputy mayor of the city of Shymkent and from 1999 to 2002 deputy Äkim (governor) of southern Kazakhstan. Subsequently, on September 16, 2002, Düissenowa became a member of the Kazakh government as Deputy Minister for Labor and Social Protection. In the years from 2006 to 2008 she was again deputy Äkim of South Kazakhstan.

From 2008 to 2013 she worked in the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of Kazakhstan and since February 2013 she was again Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection. From June 10, 2013, she was initially acting minister for labor and social protection before she was officially appointed minister on June 28. After about a year in office, Düissenowa was appointed Minister of Health and Social Development on August 6, 2014 . Since January 25, 2017, she was again Minister for Labor and Social Protection in the Saghyntayev cabinet . She had to hand over this post to Madina Abylqasymowa in February 2018 . She was then party secretary of the presidential party Nur Otan .

On May 5, 2020, she was appointed assistant to Kazakh President Qassym-Shomart Toqayev .
