Gülschan Qaraghussowa

Gülschan Schanpejisqysy Qaraghussowa ( Kazakh Гүлжан Жанпейісқызы Қарағұсова , Russian Гульжана Джанпеисовна Карагусова Gulschana Dschanpeissowna Karagussowa * 9. September 1950 in Alma-Ata , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician and former Minister of Labor and Social Protection. Since 2007 she has been a member of the Mäschilis , the Kazakh parliament.

Life

Gülschan Qaraghussowa was born in Alma-Ata in 1950. In 1972 she graduated from the Kazakh State Kirov University .

After graduating from college, she began her professional career as a lecturer at the Kazakh State Kirov University. Since 1991 she has worked as a professor for the basics of economic theory at this university. From June to September 1994 she was assistant to the Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev . From September 1994 to November 1995 she was head of the President's Council of Economic Advisers and continued to be his adviser. In November 1995 Qaraghussowa was appointed chairman of the National Securities Commission of Kazakhstan. On November 22, 2001, she was appointed Minister of Labor and Social Protection in the Kazakh government. After around seven years as minister, she was replaced in this office by Berdibek Saparbayev in August 2007 . Instead, she moved in a little later for the presidential party Nur Otan as a member of the Maschilis , the lower house of the Kazakh parliament. Here she was chairman of the finance and budget committee. In the parliamentary elections in 2012 and 2016 , she was also elected to the parliament by Nur Otan on the party list and remained chair of the finance and budget committee.
