Gülschara Nauschaqysy Äbdiqalyqowa ( Kazakh Гүлшара Наушақызы Әбдіқалықова , Russian Гульшара Наушаевна Абдыкаликова Gulschara Nauschajewna Abdykalikowa * 15. May 1965 ) is a Kazakh politician and, since March 2020 Äkim the region Kyzylorda .

Life

Gülschara Äbdiqalyqowa was born in 1965 in the Syrdarija district in what is now the Qysylorda region. She studied at the Technological Institute for Light and Food Industry in Jambul , where she graduated in 1987.

She began her professional career for the regional department of social protection in the Ksyl-Orda region. From 1994 to 1995 she was an adviser to the Committee of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Social Protection. She then moved to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, where she held various positions and between March 2003 and December 2005 she was Deputy Minister for Labor and Social Protection. She then became chairman of the board of the state pension insurance company of Kazakhstan before she was again deputy minister for labor and social protection from October 2006 to October 2007. She then held the position of Executive Secretary in this ministry for four months and then from January 2008 to March 2009 she was an adviser to the Kazakh President and chair of the National Commission on Women, Family and Demography. On March 4, 2009, Abbiqalyqowa became a member of the Kazakh government, where she became Minister of Labor and Social Protection. She held this post until September 24, 2012. Until November 2013 she was again adviser to the President and then until November 2014 Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Since November 2014 she has been the State Secretary of Kazakhstan.

In February 2019, she was in the Cabinet of Asqar Mamin appointed Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. After only a few months in government, she was sent by her party Nur Otan as a member of the Maschilis , the Kazakh parliament, in August 2019 . Here she was elected chairman of the committee for socio-cultural development in September 2019.

On March 28, 2020, she was appointed Akim (governor) of the Qysylorda region. She is the first woman in Kazakhstan to hold such an office.
