Natalia Korschowa

Natalja Artjomowna Korschowa ( Russian: Наталья Артёмовна Коржова ; born April 8, 1958 in Sarkand , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician .

Life

Natalja Korschowa was born in 1958 in Sarkand in what is now the Almaty region. She obtained a university degree in 1979 at the Institute for Economics in Alma-Ata .

She began her professional career as an employee in the Kazakh Ministry of Finance, where she held various positions. In November 1996 she was appointed Minister for Labor and Social Protection of the Population under Prime Minister Äkeschan Qaschygeldin in his cabinet. Korschowa held this post until October 1999, after which she became Kazakhstan's Deputy Minister of Finance. From 2002 to 2005 she was first deputy minister, then first deputy minister for the economy and budget planning. On January 18, 2006, she became Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan in Danial Akhmetov's cabinet . She was a member of the government until November 14, 2007 in this position. She then stayed at the Treasury Department, where she held the position of Executive Secretary. Since 2017 she has been President of the Ministry's Finance Academy.
