Serik Abbdenov

Serik Saqboldauly Äbdenow ( Kazakh Серік Сақболдаұлы Әбденов , Russian Серик Сакбалдиевич Абденов Serik Sakbaldijewitsch Abdenow * 15. January 1977 in Karkaralinsk , Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician . Since November 2018 he has been Deputy Chairman of the Board of Qasaqstan Temir Scholy .

Life

Serik Äbdenow was born in Karkaralinsk in 1977 . Between 1994 and 1998 he studied law at the Kazakh Institute for Law and International Relations. Another degree in economics followed in 2004 at the Karaganda University of Economics and Business Administration . In 2013 he graduated from the Russian Academy of Economics and Public Service under the President of the Russian Federation .

Äbdenow began his professional career in July 1998 in the Kazakh Ministry of Justice . In March 2000 he then moved to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , where he held various positions. After a little over three years, he went into the private sector, where he worked for a year. He then worked again for the Kazakh authorities between 2004 and 2007. This time he was employed by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. From November 2007, Äbdenow was Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Security before he was appointed Deputy Äkim (Governor) of East Kazakhstan in March 2009 .

On September 26, 2012, he became Minister of Labor and Social Security in Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov's cabinet. In April 2013, he became a national mockery after failing to justify an announced increase in the retirement age for women at a press conference. Just a short time later, he was pelted with eggs at another press conference.

In June 2013 he was fired from his ministerial post and from July he worked for the state oil and gas company KazMunayGas . Here he was first advisor to the chairman of the board, then managing director and vice-president of the personnel management department. Since November 2018, Äbdenow has been deputy chairman of Qasaqstan Temir Scholy .
