Sally Ann Struthers (born July 28, 1948 in Portland , Oregon , United States ) is an American actress .

biography

Sally Struthers began her acting career in 1970 at the age of 22 in the film Five Easy Pieces and was cast a year later for the role of Gloria Bunker-Stivic in the comedy series All in the Family . This was followed by an appearance in Sam Peckinpah's film Getaway (1972) and numerous other television films and guest appearances that are rather unknown in German-speaking countries. Her work includes more than 60 film and television productions.

In 2000 she also became known to German-speaking viewers when she took on the role of Babette Dell, Lorelai's sociable neighbor, in the series Gilmore Girls . In 2016 she was also featured in the sequel Gilmore Girls: A New Year .
