Sammy Bossut (born August 11, 1985 in Tielt ) is a Belgian football player . The goalkeeper has been under contract with SV Zulte Waregem in Division 1A since 2006 .

Career

society

Sammy Bossut started his career at Scor Oostrozebeke before moving to KSV Waregem in 1999 . In 2001 the club merged with Zultse VV to form SV Zulte Waregem . From 2001 to 2003 he was active for KSV Ingelmunster , after which he played for SW Harelbeke . He has been under contract with SV Zulte Waregem since 2006. On May 12, 2007 he made his first game in the first division against Sporting Lokeren . He now has over 380 top division games for his club.

National team

From the end of May to the beginning of July 2014, Bossut was part of the Belgian national team . On May 26, 2014, he played his first and so far only international match in a 5-1 win in the friendly against Luxembourg in Genk . However, this game was subsequently declared by UEFA to be an unofficial test match without evaluation, because the Belgian coach Marc Wilmots had made a mistake. With that, Bossut's commitment was not considered official either.
