The combined municipality of Rüsten was an administrative unit in the Gifhorn district that existed from July 1, 1972 to March 1, 1974.

history

From 1964 to 1980 there were several regional reforms in Lower Saxony . Among other things, municipalities merged into larger municipalities; Parishes joined together to form joint parishes .

The joint municipality of Rüsten in the east of the Gifhorn district was founded on July 1, 1972 by the Wolfsburg law . It consisted of the communities of Rühren , Parsau , Tiddische and Bergfeld . At the same time , the municipality of Ränen was expanded to include the previously independent municipalities of Brechtorf and Eischott , the municipality of Parsau to include Croya , Ahnebeck and Kaiserwinkel and the municipality of Tiddische to include Hoitlingen . The seat of the joint community was Rüben. At the same time, the area was separated from the Helmstedt district and incorporated into the Gifhorn district. Thus it belonged to the administrative district of Lüneburg and no longer to the administrative district of Braunschweig .

After the formation of the integrated community, a village community school was built in Rüben through reconstruction and new construction, in the main gable of which the names and locations of the associated villages - excluding Croya - are shown. The inauguration of this part of the school did not take place until after the end of the combined community of Rüßen.

On March 1, 1974, the joint municipality of Rüßen was dissolved. On March 15, 1974, the communities of the former joint municipality of Rüsten became part of the joint municipality of Brome . To compensate for the lost community seat, the secondary schools were expanded and a large gymnasium was built.
