history

Southern entrance to the town

The Count von der Schulenburg, who were the landlords of Wolfsburg , set up the place in the 18th and 19th centuries, starting with the construction of a forester's house. When the forest was converted into arable land, it became a farm . The place name is based on a local charcoal burner who carried the family name "Kaiser". The addition "angle" resulted from the remote location of the settlement, which could only be reached from the north. To the north of Kaiserwinkel, a few more houses were built from 1870, which operate under the Guleitz colony and today belong to Kaiserwinkel.

A few kilometers north of Kaiserwinkel in 1961 Kurt Lichtenstein while trying to farm workers of the GDR to speak, by GDR border guards shot. Until its abolition in 1990, the inner-German border ran immediately northeast of the district.

On July 1, 1972, Kaiserwinkel was incorporated into the municipality of Parsau. The municipality of Parsau was henceforth part of the joint municipality of Rüsten and the district of Gifhorn. On March 1, 1974, the joint municipality of Rüßen was dissolved. On March 15, 1974, the Parsau community decided to join the Brome community .
