Sam Hinds
Samuel Archibal Anthony Hinds (born December 27, 1943 in Mahaicony ) is a Guyanese politician and was Prime Minister of Guyana from 1992 to 2015 with brief interruptions .
Hinds is a chemical engineer and worked on the leadership of Rio Tinto Alcan .
He was Prime Minister under Cheddi Jagan , who died in March 1997. He then acted as President himself from March 17 to December 19 of the same year. His successor was Janet Jagan , Cheddi Jagan's widow. Hinds became prime minister again. Jagan resigned in August 1999 and Hinds became Prime Minister under Bharrat Jagdeo after a few days' hiatus .
