Samuel David Christian Eckardt

Samuel David Christian Eckardt (born November 4, 1749 in Berlin , † February 15, 1806 in Rothenburg an der Saale ) was a Prussian secret Oberbergrat and director of the Magdeburg-Halberstädtischen Oberbergamt Rothenburg.

Life

Samuel David Christian Eckardt temporarily found "[...] no reference" to his parents' house and his schooling.

In 1757 he entered the Prussian mining industry. After he was made a mountain ridge, due to his good management of the Rothenburg Mining Authority, he was first elevated to an upper mountain ridge on January 19, 1787, and then in May 1897 to a secret upper mountain ridge around a decade later.

In 1800 Eckardt was at the head of the Magdeburg-Halberstädtischen Oberbergamt Rothenburg . The Prussian economist Friedrich Anton von Heynitz once described him as "[...] exemplary."

Successor in the management of the mining office was the secret upper mountain ridge Johann Carl Ludwig Gerhard (1768-1835).

Samuel David Christian Eckardt was buried in the churchyard of the Marienkirche in Rothenburg . The family grave was designed as a sarcophagus made of red sandstone with fittings and inscriptions on all four sides. Three panels are dedicated to Eckardt, one describes him as "[...] Director of the Lower Saxony Upper Mining Authority in Rothenburg". An inscription panel refers to the widow Henriette Eckardt, née Walther († January 3, 1813), as well as the six children Julie, Friedrich, Ferdinand, Samuel, Wilhelmine and - Ernst Eckardt: this son Ernst Philipp Ferdinand Eckardt , the royal Prussian , who were also buried there City Justice Council and senior ministerial assessor in Berlin and a fallen officer in the Battle of Leipzig near Leipzig , a separate tomb is dedicated behind the sarcophagus.
