Samuel Le Bihan (born November 2, 1965 in Avranches ) is a French actor .

Life

Samuel Le Bihan graduated from the Rue Blanche Theater School and the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique . Le Bihan had his first major role in Dirty Angel in 1991 . He made his breakthrough in 1994 in Krzysztof Kieślowski's Three Colors: Red . From 1995 to 1997 Le Bihan was a member of the ensemble at the National Theater Comédie-Française . In 1997, Samuel Le Bihan was nominated for a César for Best Young Actor for his role in Captain Conan and the Wolves of War . Two years later, Le Bihan was awarded the prestigious Jean Gabin Prize . He starred alongside Vincent Cassel and Monica Bellucci in 2001 in Pact of the Wolves , a free film adaptation of the story about the beast of Gévaudan . In 2002, Le Bihan starred alongside Audrey Tautou in Madly In Love .
