Samuel Perez
Samuel Pérez (born November 29, 1952 in Puerto Rico ) is a Puerto Rican pianist .
Life
Samuel Pérez began his musical studies with Marilú Rappaport, Alicia Villar and Rosita Casanova, and later with the pianist Jesús María Sanromá . He encouraged him to continue his studies with the Hungarian pianist Gyorgy Sándor at the University of Michigan , where he received his doctorate. He was principal of the Puerto Rico Conservatory for three years .
So far he has given concerts in the United States , Europe , the Caribbean and Puerto Rico. In addition to his international repertoire, Pérez devotes himself to the piano music of his country.
Pérez is a professor at the University of Puerto Rico , Río Piedras Campus (UPR).
