San Caprasio (Santa Cruz de la Seros)
The Roman Catholic Church of San Caprasio in Santa Cruz de la Serós , a municipality in the Spanish province of Huesca of the autonomous community of Aragon , was built in the 11th century and is dedicated to St. Dedicated to Caprasius von Agen . The parish church has been a protected architectural monument since 2004 ( Bien de Interés Cultural ) .
history
The church, built from roughly hewn stones, probably belonged to a Benedictine monastery and was probably built around 1060. The associated convent was dissolved in the 12th century; the church became a parish church and in the same century received an unadorned and undivided bell tower .
description
The outer walls of the church are designed by pilasters with arched friezes in the Lombard-Catalan style of the region. The square tower top has coupled sound arcades on all sides . The portal, which is not placed in the middle of the facade, is unusual. The steinsichtige interior consists of a zweijochigen , kreuzgratgewölbten and with transverse arches provided ship (nature) and a lower kalottengewölbten apse with three small unadorned arched windows .
