San Martín Texmelucan de Labastida ( San Martín Texmelucan for short ; Nahuatl Tetzmollohcān , means "square full of oaks ") is a city in the Mexican state of Puebla . It belongs to the Mexican highlands and is at an altitude of 2250 meters. It forms the capital of the municipality of San Martín Texmelucan .

The city is located in the center of the municipality of San Martín Texmelucan and directly on the border with Tlaxcala . Adjacent cities are San Rafael Tlanalapan and Santa María Moyotzingo , both of which are in the same municipality.
