Sandals Painter
The sandals Painter was an Attic - black-figure vase painters. His works are dated between 575 and 555 BC. Dated.
The sandal painter is considered to be a qualitatively rather low artist who specialized in the decoration of Siana bowls . However, he could not the artistic qualities of the approximately C-painter , the Heidelberg-painter or the painter from Boston CA reach. His elaborate figures have small eyes and heads. He did not shut himself off from innovations, so he painted a newer type of vase, the shoulder lycothes . His name vase is in the Museum of Bologna (PU 204) and shows figures wearing sandals.
