Sandra Alter (born January 10, 1972 ) is a former German soccer player .

National team
After she had been used several times for the youth team of the U19 age group , she was part of the squad of the senior national team , which took part in the European championship held in Denmark from July 10-14, 1991 ; but was not used. She played her only two games for the senior national team - with a substitution for Marion Isbert in the 41st minute - on August 28, 1991 in Weil am Rhein in a 3-1 victory over the Swiss national team and on September 25, 1991 in Mosonmagyaróvár in a 2-0 victory over the Hungarian national team ; in this game she was substituted in the 41st minute for Marion Isbert. However, Elke Walther was nominated as the second goalkeeper for the World Cup , which was held for the first time in the People's Republic of China from November 16 to 30, 1991 .
