Sandra Luisa Lippert

Sandra Luisa Lippert (born May 19, 1975 in Würzburg ) is a German Egyptologist .

Life

She was a research assistant for the Soknopaiu Nesos project based on demotic sources from Roman times under the direction of Karl-Theodor Zauzich from 2000 to 2005 at the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg . After completing her doctorate in Egyptology in Würzburg in 2002, she was a postdoctoral fellow in 2006 at the Center for the Tebtunis Papyri at the Bancroft Library of the University of California, Berkeley . She was temporary academic advisor for Egyptology from 2006 to 2011 and 2013 at the Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen . Since 2008 she has been working on demotic texts as a member of the German-Egyptian Athribis project in Upper Egypt under the direction of Christian Leitz . From 2011 to 2013 she was a visiting researcher in the Équipe Égypte nilotique et méditerranéenne at the Université Montpellier III as a fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation . Since 2013 she has been researching as Chargé de Recherche (CR 1) at the CNRS .

Her research topics are law and economy of ancient Egypt, especially in the Greek and Roman times, publication of unpublished demotic texts, history, geography and religion of Fayum, studies of the ostraka and wall-side inscriptions in the temple of Athribis of Upper Egypt and study of the decorative program of the Cella des Sanctuary of Amon in Hibis.
