St. Michael (Remkersleben)
The St. Michael Church is a Protestant church in the Remkersleben district of the city of Wanzleben-Börde in Saxony-Anhalt .

The church is located in the center of Remkersleben, northwest of Alte Dorfstrasse and belongs to the parish of Seehausen of the Egeln parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .
Architecture and history
The church tower, standing on a rectangular floor plan across the nave, goes back to the Romanesque period . The current nave was built in 1855 in the neo-Gothic style . At the same time, however, modifications were made to the tower. In addition to the portal, the sound openings and the helmet of the church tower were also changed. On the east side of the nave there is a polygonal apse . On the nave and the apse there are two-lane tracery windows between stepped buttresses .
The interior of the church is spanned by a flat, painted ceiling. There is a three-sided gallery that extends on the north side of the ship to the east side. The baroque altarpiece dates from around 1690. It has a painting showing the Descent from the Cross, which is framed on the sides by twisted columns decorated with vine tendrils. The baptismal font in the church was built around 1740. It is designed as an octagonal baptismal font and is adorned with angel heads. The shaft is adorned with acanthus . In addition, there is a shaft ring composed of balls.
The other furnishings of the church come from the construction time of the nave.
In 1857 the Halberstadt organ builder Wilhelm Boden created an organ for the church .
The church is registered as a monument in the local monument register under registration number 094 11971 .
