The church is at the intersection of Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Roma . Built in the 13th century in the form of a Greek cross, it was fundamentally renewed in the 15th century and, after a severe earthquake in 1823, it was restored in a neo-Gothic style . The bell tower was built by the Chiaramonte as a defense tower . A staircase leads to the entrance, on the sides of which sculptures of Saints Peter and Paul by Antonello Gagini are placed. The dome from 1536 is supported by four granite columns, the eight columns in the presbytery have capitals from the 13th century.
