Santiago Barboza , full name Ángel Santiago Barboza Manzzi , (born October 3, 1989 in Rocha ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.80 meter tall offensive player Barboza was in the 2008 Apertura and 2009 Clausura in the squad of the Southeast Uruguayan second division club Rocha FC . In the 2012/13 season he played four league games (no goal) for the Uruguayan first division club Cerro Largo FC . He was also set up twice in the Copa Sudamericana and scored one goal. In January 2013 he moved to the second division club Atlético Atenas . There he played until July of the same year and then moved on to LDU Loja on loan . With the Ecuadorians he was used eleven times in the Primera A (no goal) and in six matches of the Copa Sudamericana (one goal). At the turn of the year 2013/2014 he returned to Uruguay for Club Atlético Atenas. At the club from San Carlos , twelve games (six goals) in the Segunda División will be played for him in the remaining 2013/14 season . At the end of the season, his club rose to the highest Uruguayan league. In the Apertura 2014 he was used 14 times in the Primera División and scored ten goals. He then moved to CD Cobreloa in Chile at the end of December 2014 . There he completed 15 games in the Primera División and scored five goals. At the beginning of July 2015 he joined the Uruguayan first division club Defensor Sporting on loan . In the 2015/16 season he played 16 league games (three goals) and played five times (no goal) in the 2015 Copa Sudamericana . He then returns to Cobreloa. With the Chileans, who are now playing second class, he played twice in the league and twice in the Copa Chile - each without a personal goal . In mid-January 2017, the CD Marathón signed Barboza. For the Hondurans, he has been used in ten league games (one goal) so far (as of July 15, 2017).
