Santiago F. Bedoya Monjoy
Santiago F. Bedoya Monjoy (* 1890 ; † 1959 ) was a Peruvian diplomat .
Career
Monjoy began his career in 1917 with the Lima City Council . From 1921 to 1939 he rose in Washington, DC from second class delegation secretary to envoy and from September 4, 1929 to temporary chargé d'affaires. In Madrid he was chargé d'affaires from March 8, 1940 to 1941. In Lima he was chief of protocol. On August 30, 1944, he presented Chiang Kai-shek with his credentials as ambassador to Chungking . In Stockholm he was ambassador from April 26, 1957 to 1959.
Personal
On June 16, 1926, he married Josephine Matleson of Berkeley .
