Santiago López , full name Santiago Tabaré López Bruzzese , (born May 8, 1982 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

The 1.76 meter tall offensive player "Bigote" López played in the youth up to the "Quinta" for Bella Vista . At the age of 14 to 15, however, he initially gave up the sport and was no longer active in the club. Not until 2001 did he join the Villa Española team after a trial training session at the "Tercera" . After just a few weeks he moved up to the first team in the second-highest Uruguayan division, which rose at the end of the season. He remained in the club's ranks until the end of 2004. In the following two years he was a player at Club Atlético Rentistas , for whom he played in 13 games in the 2005/06 season and in ten games in the 2006/07 season of the Primera División . He didn't score a goal. In 2007 he was active for Tacuarembó FC . In the Clausura 2007 there are six first division appearances (no goal) for him. In the first half of 2008 he was back on the Villa Españolas squad. With 25 or 20 goals this season, depending on the sources, the Segunda División's top scorer there in early August 2008 signed him to the Montevideo Wanderers . 15 completed first division matches with five personal goalscoring successes in the season 2008/09 followed in the Apertura 2009 ten further first division appearances with one goal. From January to mid-July 2010 an engagement with the Argentine club CSD Defensa y Justicia followed . One followed suit. until mid-June 2011 long career station at Bella Vista . At the Montevideo club, he played in 27 first division games in the 2010/11 season and scored five times in the opposing goal. He then continued his career in Guatemala at CSD Suchitepéquez . There he played 23 league matches and scored seven goals. In mid-January 2012 he returned to Uruguay and played again for Rentistas. With the Montevideans he was used in the Clausura 2012 in twelve games (two goals) in the top Uruguayan league. At the end of June 2012, he moved to CSD Municipal . For the Guatemalans, he made 32 league games and scored three goals. He was also used twice (no goal) in the CONCACAF Champions League . Since mid-September 2013, Villa Española has been his employer again. He rose with the club from the Segunda División Amateur to the Segunda División. There he played a total of 45 second division games in the 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons, in which he can boast 21 goals. There followed under his leadership as team captain in eleven games, another promotion to the Primera División. In the 2016 season he was used 14 times in the league and scored three goals.

Without a date, engagements at Brasiliense FC and Juventud are also carried out for him.
