Santiago Luis Marcenaro Romero (born February 2, 1913 in Ica ; † October 12, 2006 in Lima ) was a Peruvian ambassador .

Life

He was married to María Teresa Fernández-Concha, their children were Santiago Luis and Ricardo Arturo. In 1930 he graduated with a Bachelor of Law .

On December 23, 1930, he entered the foreign service and headed the office of the Consulate General in Buenos Aires , Argentina. From 1936 to 1939 he was Chancellor of the Consulate General in Valparaíso , Chile . In 1941 he was consul in Machala . From 1942 to 1945 he was consul in Bahía Blanca . From 1946 to 1948 he had exequatur as consul general in Arica (Chile). From 1949 to 1950 he had exequatur as consul general in Guayaquil ( Ecuador ). In 1951 he had exequatur as consul general in La Paz ( Bolivia ) and was commercial attaché at the embassy there. From 1952 to 1954 he had exequatur as consul general in Buenos Aires ( Argentina ). From 1955 to 1956 he had exequatur as consul general in Calcutta ( India ). From 1957 to 1959 he had exequatur as consul general in Copenhagen ( Denmark ). From 1960 to 1963 he was assigned to the Office for Political Studies in Lima.

In 1964 he headed the passport office in La Paz. In 1965 he was deputy director of the immigration office. From 1966 to 1969 he had exequatur as consul general in Valparaíso. From 1970 to 1971 he had exequatur as consul general in New York ( United States ). From 1971 to 1972 he was ambassador to Tegucigalpa. From 1973 to 1976 he was ambassador to Guatemala City . From 1977 to 1978 he was ambassador to Algiers ( Algeria ). In 1993 he was appointed Counselor to the Consulate General in San Francisco .
