Santiago Salcedo (born September 6, 1981 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan football player .

Career

society

Salcedo began his career at Cerro Porteño , where he played from 2001 to 2005. He contributed to winning the Primera División in 2001 and 2005 . In the 2005 season he was the top scorer of the Copa Libertadores with 9 goals . In 2003 he was loaned to MKE Ankaragücü . In 2005 he switched to FC Tokyo . He then played with Newell's Old Boys (2006–2009), Chiapas FC (2007), River Plate (2008), CA Lanús (2009–2012) and Argentinos Juniors (2011). In 2012 he returned to Cerro Porteño, with whom he became champions two more times in 2012 and 2013. He then played for CA Banfield (2013-2014) and Sol de América (2015). In 2016 he switched to Club Libertad , with whom he won the championship title in the Primera División in 2016 and 2017.

National team

In 2003, Salcedo made his debut for the Paraguayan national soccer team . He has played a total of six international matches for Paraguay.
