The list of top scorer of the Copa Libertadores includes all top scorers of the competition, which has been played as the Copa Campeones de América since 1960 .
Ecuadorian Alberto Spencer was the first top scorer in the Copa Libertadores in 1960 with seven goals. The record top scorer is the Uruguayan Fernando Morena with three titles; Record goalscorer in one season of the Argentine Daniel Onega with 17 goals from 1966. The current title holder with nine goals in the Copa Libertadores 2019 is the Brazilian Gabriel Barbosa ( Flamengo Rio de Janeiro ).
So far, three players have managed to defend their title from the previous season, regardless of whether they were the only titleholders or had to share it with other players. These were the Uruguayan Fernando Morena (1974, 1975), the Argentine Néstor Leonel Scotta (1977, 1978) and the Paraguayan Salvador Cabañas (2007, 2008).
