Sara Schaar (born January 15, 1985 in Spittal an der Drau ) is an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ). Since April 12, 2018, she has been state councilor in the Carinthian state government of Kaiser II .

Life

After graduating from a commercial academy , Sara Schaar began studying veterinary medicine in Vienna before moving to the University of Klagenfurt . In 2015, she completed her degree in business administration with a master's thesis on the implementation of a balanced scorecard in a political organization as a Magistra .

She is a graduate of the SPÖ junior academy initiated by Peter Kaiser at the Renner Institute . In the SPÖ she started as an election campaign helper, in 2009 she became a substitute councilor in Spittal an der Drau , where in 2015 she was city councilor for finances, economics, economic development, EU subsidies and city marketing for a few months. From 2011 until she was sworn in as regional councilor in April 2018, she was the SPÖ district manager in the Spittal an der Drau district .

In the state government of Kaiser II , she is responsible for the departments society (families, women, youth, senior citizens), basic services and integration as well as environment (energy), nature conservation, waste management, climate protection, national and biosphere parks.
