Sarah Henke

Sarah Henke-Eckhardt (born February 23, 1982 in Seoul ) is a German cook .

Career

Henke was found in 1984 as a foundling on the streets of Seoul. She grew up as an adopted child in a German family in Lower Saxony. After graduating from high school and training as a cook, she worked at the Schlosshotel Lerbach with Dieter Müller in Bergisch Gladbach (three Michelin stars ), then in Portugal and from 2006 with Sven Elverfeld in the Aqua restaurant in Wolfsburg (three Michelin stars).

In 2011, Henke became head chef at the Spices restaurant in A-ROSA Sylt , which was awarded a Michelin star in 2014. Since the end of 2015 she has been the head chef at the Yoso restaurant in Andernach , which was also awarded a Michelin star in 2018. The restaurant also offers street food and sushi .

Private

In mid-2018 she married the chef Christian Eckhardt .
