Sarah Lipfert

Sarah Lipfert (* 1979 ) is a German jazz singer .

Lipfert began classical vocal training at the age of 15. In spring 2001 she began studying jazz and popular music at the Mainz Music Academy with Nanny Byl; in the summer of 2001 she moved to the University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim with main subject lessons with Reinette van Zijtveld ; In 2005 she completed her studies with "very good success".

From 2000 to 2003 Lipfert was the singer of the Landes-Jugend-Jazz-Orchester Rheinland-Pfalz, with whom she went on tour in the USA and recorded the CD I Love Phoenix . In 2003 she was on tour in Germany as the singer of the musical " Tommy "; she also acted as a background singer in television appearances by cabaret artist Lars Reichow . From 2004 to 2010 she led the band Sarahs Ballroom , with whom she interpreted her own songs and in 2009 released her debut album entitled Between Heaven and Hell . She is also the singer of the Fräuleinjazz duo (with double bass player Judith Goldbach ), which takes on German hits in cabaret . She also sings in the big band Brass and Fun , as well as with the Bach project of the msschmitt jazz orchestra . As a background singer she worked for Fola Dada ( Dada, the band ).

Lipfert has been a lecturer for jazz singing at the Freiburg University of Music and the University of Music and Performing Arts ; For the TV show The Winner Is ... she was active as a vocal coach in 2011/2012.
