Reinette van Zijtveld

Reinette van Zijtveld-Lustig (* 1961 in Aalten ) is a Dutch jazz singer .

Live and act

Van Zijtveld studied jazz singing from 1985 to 1990 at the Hilversum Conservatory with Deborah Brown , Greetje Kauffeld , Geoffrey Garth and Mark Murphy after training as a primary school teacher (graduated in 1983) . She has lived in Germany since 1993. She has been a member of Vokal Total since 1996 . She has also appeared with Albert Mangelsdorff , Klaus Doldinger , Andy Haderer , Rhiannon and the Lumberjack Big Band . Their trio includes Bernhard Pichl and Michael Arlt and bassist Rudi Engel . She has also performed with Paul Kuhn , the New York Voices , Jiggs Whigham , Bill Ramsey , the RIAS Big Band Berlin and the hr-Bigband .

She is a lecturer at the University of Music in Würzburg and the University of Music in Nuremberg (previously until 2005 University of Music and Performing Arts Mannheim and until 2008 at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Munich ). In addition, she occasionally gives courses, advanced training and workshops in jazz singing, improvisation, voice training and jazz choir (including for the German Music Council ).
