Sarah Stewart Taylor

Sarah Stewart Taylor (* 1971 in Huntington , Long Island ) is an American journalist and writer .

Life

Taylor studied at Middlebury College ( Middlebury , Vermont) and at Trinity College ( Dublin ) Literature and completed her studies with a dissertation about the Irish writer Elizabeth Bowen . She then worked for some time as a freelance journalist; u. a for The Washington Post and The Boston Globe .

Around 2000 Taylor was brought to Hartford and entrusted with a teaching position at the Center for Cartoon Studies . Since then she has reduced her journalistic activities more and more and devoted herself more and more to her literary work. In 2003 she made her debut with the detective novel O'Artful Death (A Cunning Death) successfully. The protagonist of this novel is the art historian Sweeney St. George. Four novels have been published with this main character.

Taylor currently (2011) lives with her family in rural Vermont , her husband, the Democrat Matt Dune ran for governor of Vermont in 2010 , but lost in the primary to later victorious party colleague Peter Shumlin .
