Sarah Walsh (born January 11, 1983 , in Camden , New South Wales ) is a former Australian national soccer player .

Career

Walsh was in the first round Women's Professional Soccer League in the team of Sky Blue FC appointed. On June 26, 2009, Walsh moved to Saint Louis Athletica .

She played for Australia in the 2004 Summer Olympics , the Women's Asian Football Championship and the 2007 Women's World Cup .

On August 30, 2012, Walsh announced her retirement from the national team. Her last game was a friendly against the United States on September 19, 2012. After she scored a goal, her career in the national team ended with a substitution in the 54th minute.

In October 2012 it was announced that Walsh had signed a contract with Western Sydney Wanderers FC . She was directly elected team captain by her teammates.

Private

In 2012 it was announced that she had been in a relationship with the US national soccer player Megan Rapinoe for three years .
