Sarenseck is a district of the municipality of Göhrde in the Lüchow-Dannenberg district in Lower Saxony .

geography

The place is two kilometers southwest of Hitzacker (Elbe) . The Cameroon settlement belongs to Sarenseck.

history

For the year 1848 it is stated that Sarenseck had five residential buildings in which 46 residents lived. At the time, the place was parish to Hitzacker where the school was located. On December 1, 1910, Sarenseck had 40 inhabitants as an independent municipality in the Dannenberg district . On July 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality was incorporated into the municipality of Metzingen, which was renamed the municipality of Göhrde on January 29, 1976.

Until 1990 there was a permanent deployment of the low- flying reporting and control service of the Bundeswehr in Sarenseck .
