This list of the constituencies and districts of Windhoek gives an overview of the constituencies and districts of the Namibian capital Windhoek .
Constituencies
Constituencies play a role in general voter registration and regional council elections . They have no further administrative status. The actual urban area of Windhoek, until the expansion in 2012, comprises nine constituencies. The surrounding constituency was partially declared an urban area through incorporation.
The list provides information on the following points:
- Constituency: gives the name of the constituency and ISO code .
- Area: Indicates the area of the district in square kilometers .
- Inhabitants: Indicates the population of the district ( 2011 census ).
- Population density: gives the average number of inhabitants per square kilometer in the district.
- Constituency leader: gives the name of the constituency leader who has a seat in the regional administration of Khomas and his party.
