Helmuth Koschorke

Karl Helmuth Koschorke (born August 11, 1905 in Allenstein in Warmia , † April 13, 1980 in Nienburg / Weser ) was a German police officer , most recently SS-Sturmbannführer , and non-fiction author .

Life

Helmuth Koschorke attended the Allenstein high school and studied for a few semesters at the Agricultural Institute of the Albertina in Königsberg . In 1928 he moved to Berlin and was a member of the NSDAP press . a. The attack and Großdeutscher Pressedienst (GdP) active. On January 1, 1931, he joined the NSDAP (membership number 429.997) and on June 5, 1933 the Schutzstaffel (membership number 160.964).

From 1934 he worked in the press office of the Prussian state police under Kurt Daluege and was later transferred to the main office of the Ordnungspolizei (OrPo). From January to April 1944 he was head of the branch of the state police station in Brno in Mährisch-Ostrau and from June 1944 to January 30, 1945 he was deputy head of the state police station in Stuttgart. In the final phase of the war Koschorke was assigned to the "Commander of the Security Police and Security Service" (KdS) in Veldes, Slovenia, as head of Department IV ( Gestapo ).

Helmuth Koschorke published several propaganda books about the police and their operations during the Second World War . He was a member of the Reichsschrifttumskammer . In February 1946, three book titles by Helmuth Koschorke were entered in the list of literature to be sorted out in the Soviet occupation zone .
