Sasha Bajin

Sascha Bajin (born October 4, 1984 in Serbia , actually Aleksandar Bajin ) is a German tennis coach and former tennis player.

Life

Bajin grew up in a Serbian-German family in Munich - Feldmoching . His father, who played tennis himself, trained Bajin, who initially wanted to become a professional tennis player. Due to the accidental death of his father when Bajin was 15 years old, he lost interest in a tennis career. He played in the 2nd Bundesliga tennis for Iphitos Munich . On the recommendation of a Munich colleague, Bajin, who was also working as a trainer at the time, became a hitting partner (i.e. training partner) of Serena Williams at the age of 23 . He lived in Florida for several years and worked for Williams between 2007 and 2015. From 2017 to 2018 he was hitting partner in Caroline Wozniacki's team for one season . He was then Naomi Osaka's trainer until mid-February 2019 . During the time they worked together, Osaka won the US Open and the Australian Open . She was also number one in the world . In April 2019 it was announced that Bajin is the coach of the French player Kristina Mladenovic .

In December 2018, he was named the first winner of the Coach of the Year Award by the Women's Tennis Association .
